delete old redundant files

Suppose I copy a folder from say Drive F on the PC to the backup external drive say Drive D

Now this is the say second time I am copying the folder from drive F to drive D

Now If the folder D has some files which are not there in folder F because they may have been deleted in the original drive F of the PC or renamed. I should be asked what to do
