auto pause
I'd like to see a menu selected pause after a certain time and with auto resume with a selected time. I notice with external USB drives that the copy slows down and if paused for a while the copy speeds up again.

Asus is just as "premium" as is Asrock or MSI. Seagate is just crap, especially since Samsung acquired them. Western Digital is the way to go. Besides, 4 TB drives can't cope with much data after their, relatively small, cache is full. Of course, if air flow is bad, heat will join the ride..
Anyway, requesting a feature to remedy bad equipment is just wrong.

And WD is just as crap, if not more, because their drives lie about their SMART state and e.g. don't increase the bad sectors count even though MHDD or ddrescue show lots of them. And not just WD Green, but Red and Black too. Seagates at least most of the time admit when they've gone bad.
The only reliable ones left were IBM/Hitachi/HGST ... but then WD acquired them, so it's only a matter of time until they go crap too.
You simply don't get it. Your hardware is - in part at least - crap. Having chosen it nonetheless in the first place and now complaining to get a software patched to remedy your hardware's faults, is nothing but ridiculous.
And now you even demand a patch, because, well, you've paid 20 bucks and that - of course - entitles you to demand even the most stupid features.
I'm not negative (admitted, the Seagate drives are crap to me), but honest: you chose bad hardware, it's your fault hence your responsibility to fix that than to request a useless feature.

That's just because your USB drives have poor controllers not being able to cope with the source's speeds and/or the USB drives getting too hot - again due to being poorly designed regarding their heat dissipating capabilities.
I'd rather highly recommend you to get better USB drives than arguing about a bug that's not within Tera Copy, but within your USB drives.

Doesn't matter, the drives prior to the acquisition were somewhere between "behind or almost on par with WD's quality" and afterwards turned crap anyway. But for your soul: yes, you're right, I've wrongly reversed who bought who.
Other than that, I really don't care - 1 bad sector, 2 bad sectors or even thousands of the, the procedure will always remain the same: instantly rescue as much data as possible, destroy drive by brutal force afterwards. But if it does matter for you, go for it.
Besides, after about 20 years of usage of several WD drives (external & internal ones), not a single one betrayed me, not a single one forsook me, not a single one reaching EOL died prior to _months_ (mostly even _years_) after their warrranty's end - not a single Seagate, let alone Samsung, hard disk drive managed to survive more than 3 months (sadly, most only a couple of days).
