Add feature "auto-skip file copy if file is stored on bad block/sector of hard disk"

Avatar

As I found out my hard disk is approaching its life time end. More and more bad blocks/sector appear in the surface test.

So I have to make a backup onto an external USB hard disk of all the partitions files and folders.

When I use TeraCopy to copy the whole directory tree it occurs that one of more (big > 1GB) files are tried to copy which are damaged.

When one of these files is (partially) stored on one of these critical bad blocks/sectors TeraCopy stops working and let parts of the desktop (e.g. windows explorer window) freeze.

This is bad and unnecessary.

Could the authors add a feature which AUTOMATICALLY detects such a bad block/sector problem and auto-skip the copying of such a file?

Thank you
